How do I set-up my SmartLock? 

After your purchase, you will receive a video tutorial as well as a digital version to follow along. If you have any questions or concerns, our team will be happy to assist you. We will also provide online video tech support if needed. Contact us at hello@jvolpiani.com to set-up a one-on-one call. 

 

Can I register more than one finger?

Yes, you may register up-to five fingers. On our video tutorial we show you how to register two fingers in case you'd like to have someone else access your SmartBag. 

 

Which fingers should I register?

We recommend registering your thumb or index finger for easier access. 

 

Does it matter which way I register my finger?

Nope. Once you successfully register your finger, our SmartLock will read your fingerprint in any 360° angle.  

 

Is my SmartBag waterproof? 

No, our Jvolpiani SmartBag is water-resistant and it should be treated like a tech-accessory. We do not recommend you get caught in pouring rain. In the event of heavy rain, we suggest carrying your SmartBag with the SmartLock facing you and immediately drying it off.  

 

Does the SmartLock work with sweaty fingers? 

Yes, our founder suffers from sweaty hands so we understand you! We simply recommend wiping your finger to unlock your SmartBag. Our SmartLock is designed with water-resistant capabilities to quickly read your fingerprint, even if it's a bit sweaty. 

 

How long should I charge my SmartBag?

The Jvolpiani SmartBag is designed to last 8 weeks on standby. For frequent users, we recommend charging your SmartBag every month for at least 2 hours. 

 

Will my SmartBag remain locked if the battery runs out?

Yes, your SmartBag will remain locked and secure your items until you have a chance to plug it in. Be sure to carry the micro-USB cable (provided with your purchase) inside the external back zipped pocket at all times.

 

Do you offer a product warranty?

Yes, we offer a 1 year warranty on our SmartBag. If the SmartLock has a defect due to a mistake on our part, we will send you a replacement free of charge. For more information check our terms of warranty.
