PARIS, FRANCE, January 12, 2021 - Jvolpiani will be launching the first vegan biometric smartbag on February 1, 2021. This launch comes after one full year of successful testing and research. 

Designed by Julie Volpiani, a former telecommunications Marketing Manager who now resides in Paris, France, the Vault SmartBag Crossbody is the first to be introduced as a tech-fashion bag accessory made to withstand life in cosmopolitan cities. 

“I moved to Paris intending to navigate a new city completely worry-free. After someone pickpocketed me, I realized there were so many of us who walk around clutching onto our bags, and that had to stop - I wanted back my freedom,” said Volpiani. 

“There is nothing more liberating than wandering free, wherever we choose to go. That has been our motto since we started JVOLPIANI back in December 2019.” 

The first edition Vault SmartBag has all the benefits of every other anti-theft bag in the market, plus it’s vegan. It is water-resistant and comes with a fully RFID and anti-slash interior lining, interchangeable straps, and is strictly accessible by fingerprint. 

“We had all the intention of launching summer of 2020, but the global pandemic slightly delayed our plans; instead, we used that time to continue testing our Vault SmartLock. We tested it under extreme heat and freezing conditions to ensure it would perform under different scenarios,” stated Volpiani.

JVOLPIANI focuses on providing a luxury yet conscious buying experience by partnering with manufacturers who carefully comply with environmental best practices.  The first edition SmartBag is made with vegan leather and sustainable packaging. It will come with:

  • Two interchangeable shoulder straps
  • 1 Vault SmartLock Charger
  • 1 Recyclable bag
  • 1 JVOLPIANI crossbody  

The SmartBag comprises of four separate compartments, carefully designed to keep items organized, including individual pockets for passport, keys, and makeup. The Vault SmartLock is estimated to last nine weeks before needing to be plugged in for a charge. 

“We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from the market since we started receiving valuable feedback from women who are both travelers and who live in busy cities. We came up with a compact, secure, yet beautiful design to complement their busy lifestyles.”

Early registrants will have the opportunity to pre-order on February 1st at 9 am EST, with an expected delivery date of August 2021 plus free shipping. Pre-orders will open up to the public on February 2nd with limited quantities available.
